Maguire will be out for “a few weeks” because of an injury for Manchester United.
The center back for Manchester United and England, Harry Maguire, said he will be hurt for “a few weeks” and won’t be able to play.
In United’s 0-0 draw at Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, Maguire got hurt in the first half. He was taken off at halftime and left Villa Park in a protective boot.
“Frustrated to pick up an injury at the weekend, will be a few weeks on the sideline for me but I’ll come back stronger,” Maguire said on Instagram.
The 31-year-old wasn’t picked by Lee Carsley for England’s Nations League games against Greece and Finland coming up.
Maguire missed Euro 2024 because of an injury to his calf. He has played nine times for United so far this season and scored in the 3–3 Europa League tie against Porto on October 3.
The next game for United is on October 19 at home against Brentford.
