Santi Aldama, a forward with the Memphis Grizzlies, was re-signed to a multi-year deal today, the team announced.
As per the team’s policy, details of the agreement were kept confidential.
Last season, Aldama reached a new personal best with the Grizzlies, appearing in 65 games (16 starts) and averaging 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 25.5 minutes.
He shot 48.3 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from outside the arc. In each of the four seasons following his acquisition by the Grizzlies at the 30th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, he has posted improved year-over-year statistics in scoring, rebounding, and assist.
The 24-year-old has ten games last season with 20+ point totals, including a career-high 29 points against San Antonio on January 17, 2025.
His career highs for a single game were against Portland on November 25, 2024, with 17 rebounds, and San Antonio on March 1, 2025, with 11 assists.
Last season, he tied for third place among NBA bench players with six double-doubles, and his career-best of ten double-doubles came in just one season.
In 235 games for the Grizzlies, Aldama has averaged 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 22.6 minutes.
He shot 45.9 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from the free throw line. Aldama played collegiately at Loyola Maryland. He is a native of Las Palmas, Spain.
Averaging 9.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 22.3 minutes while shooting 46.8% from the field and 43.6 percent from outside the arc, he has also played in 10 playoff games, starting one.
