Locker Room Secrets: Earl Clark Spills the Tea on Kobe, Kyrie & LeBron

The NBA career of Earl Clark was extraordinary.

During an exclusive interview with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson on Scoop B Radio, the former lottery pick revealed previously unknown details about his time playing alongside Kobe Bryant, Kyrie Irving, and LeBron James, as well as his bouts with star-studded teams and his time shining under the bright lights of Los Angeles.

Clark’s recollections of his time with the Lakers are among his most vivid. Clark stated that she was “starstruck” when Kobe asked her where she was from during their first meeting. However, Bryant’s dogged determination was the most memorable aspect.

“When we defeated his team in practice, he ended the session, turned the tables on us, and shouted, ‘We can’t get better like this!'” It was in Cleveland that Clark first saw Irving’s genius before he won an NBA championship. With “skills beyond his years,” Clark characterized Kyrie, a young dog. “I wanted to know how he made those incredible layups—he was so focused on the game and never took a break.”

Even though they never played on the same team, Clark and LeBron had a bizarre encounter.

Following his impressive showing in the Miami Heat game, James questioned the decision to sit Clark: “LeBron said, ‘Why d’they take you out?'” You were making a huge fool of yourself! When that happened, I felt at home.

After living in Phoenix, Orlando, and even abroad, Clark’s true home is in Los Angeles.

He was given a genuine opportunity by the Lakers, he stated. Because of them, I was able to demonstrate that I belonged in this league. Speaking about his time in Orlando, Clark gushed over Dwight Howard, describing him as “a Hall of Famer, no question.” “We hung out at Q-Rich’s house, played cards—it was a brotherhood,” he said, praising their close-knit squad.
