Liverpool receives plain message from Chelsea and Levi Colwill after transfer querry
Liverpool’s prospects of obtaining Levi Colwill from Chelsea are exceedingly remote.
Despite a change in management, the player has not yet demonstrated any intention to leave the endeavour at Stamford Bridge.
“I continue to receive numerous inquiries regarding Levi Colwill and Chelsea, as well as numerous links to the English centre-back,” stated Fabrizio Romano on his personal YouTube channel.
“The stance of Chelsea is unequivocal: they firmly believe that Levi Colwill is an indispensable player who will remain with the club.”
“Levi Colwill must inform the club of his desire to depart if any action is to be taken.” Chelsea has yet to receive any correspondence from the athlete. Levi Colwill is a critical component of the future initiative they are developing, and they are fully committed to this endeavour.
In the previous summer window, the Merseysiders were recognised as being avid devotees of the Englishman’s abilities.
According to The Evening Standard, Arne Slot’s organisation continues to target Colwill as a “serious” objective in the event that they are unsuccessful in their pursuit of Lille’s Leny Yoro.
Although FBref portrays the No.26 as an aerially dominant player, he still has a long way to go before he can be compared to Virgil van Dijk.
The 21-year-old’s average win percentage for aerial duels of 66.8% is better than that of fellow Liverpool target Leny Yoro (62.9%); however, our No.4 dominates with a career average of 76%.
Although Colwill’s statistics on the ball are not particularly disconcerting, he also requires some additional development in order to compete with our center-half options.
He currently maintains a pass completion rate of 83% per 90, placing him in the 78% percentile.
