Journalist reveals what he has heard concerning Joshua Kimmich and Man City transfer connections

Manchester City has demonstrated in the past that they are not averse to signing players from organisations throughout Europe.

For instance, the Blues have recently acquired the services of Josko Gvardiol and Jeremy Doku, who hail from two of Europe’s five most prominent leagues.

Pep Guardiola’s team has been associated with a number of players from a variety of organisations in England and abroad during the current summer transfer window.

One of those players is Joshua Kimmich, who was reported by talkSPORT earlier this year to be on City’s radar due to some ambiguity regarding his future at Bayern Munich.

However, a journalist has recently disclosed the most recent developments regarding the German international and the potential future for him.

In a recent edition of FC Bayern Insider, journalist Christian Falk expressed his thoughts on Kimmich and his current circumstances as he prepares to enter the final year of his Bayern contract.

He stated, “We were informed by the team that Kimmich must have expressed the possibility of leaving Bayern at this time.” He did not always explicitly acknowledge it in the mixed zone; however, it was revealed in the documentary.

“He is somewhat dissatisfied with the manner in which he has been treated at the club.”

“At present, he is unable to secure employment with a club that will provide him with a salary. However, he is keeping his mouth shut for the duration of one year.” Additionally, he will participate in the game and subsequently have the option to negotiate a free transfer. Subsequently, his remuneration, which is purportedly valued at €20 million (£16 million), may be realised by others, as they will not incur a transfer fee if he is not required.

Kimmich may prove advantageous for City.
In the past month, journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that Bayern are prepared to sell the 29-year-old, who has made 390 appearances across all competitions, 36 of which were under Guardiola. During his tenure at the German club, he has scored 42 goals and provided 104 assists.

We believe that a transfer for Kimmich this summer could be a wise decision for City, given his versatility in playing in multiple defensive and midfield positions across the pitch, his willingness to leave Bayern this summer, his experience at the highest level, and his knowledge of the requirements of playing under Guardiola.
