At this moment, Jamie Carragher has responded to David Ornstein’s remarks concerning Manchester City and the 115 allegations.

The remarks were made by the 45-year-old while appearing on The Overlap.

When the Sky Sports analyst heard Ornstein, Football Correspondent for The Athletic, elaborate on Manchester City’s 115 charges, he was not pleased.

Respected journalist: “The situation is considerably more convoluted. What are your thoughts on Manchester City’s case involving 115 allegations, in comparison to the tens of thousands of pages of documentation that accompanied Everton’s single charge?

Jamie Carragher describes as "ridiculous" what he has just learned about Manchester City.

“We should note that a significant number of them were allegedly for lack of cooperation; one could argue, ‘Why didn’t you cooperate?'” “Manchester City may respond, ‘We are not cooperating because we lack faith in the process and its leadership.'”

Carragher responded, “I disagree with that entirely. “That is absolutely absurd.”

Although Manchester City has every right to assert its innocence in relation to these 115 allegations, their refusal to cooperate in any way tarnishes their reputation.

Cooperation is mandatory, Irrespective of whether Manchester City has faith in the investigation process or the Premier League; failure to do so will only lend an air of suspicion to the situation.

A Google trending query following Everton’s ten-point deduction inquired as to when Manchester City, should they be found guilty as well, would face punishment.

Evidently, any potential punishment will not transpire any time soon; according to preeminent barrister Nick De Marco KC, it is more probable that it will transpire in 2027.

He stated to City AM, “Considering the 115 charges, the parties involved, and the fact that some of the charges allege dishonesty and fraud, as well as the attorneys and legal teams involved, I do not believe this will be resolved for at least two to four years.” “That seems implausible to me, and I doubt anyone is arguing otherwise in a logical manner.”

In the event that Manchester City has not committed any errors, relegation may prove to be a practical consequence.
