It’s fun for Kerr Kriisa to throw fish in Seattle before the big game against Gonzaga.

It’s time for the Kentucky Wildcats to play Gonzaga in a big top-10 battle. They have arrived in Seattle, Washington. They worked out and enjoyed the sights and sounds of Seattle all day. The Pike Place Market is one of the most well-known places in Seattle. It’s where many different kinds of sellers sell their goods, such as fresh fish, flowers, and small items. Tossing fish has become a well-known symbol of the market, and it’s often done for fun and for sports breaks in between commercials.

In a funny video, backup point guard Kerr Kriisa tried it and caught the first slippery fish that was thrown to him. His smile shows that he is having a great time in Seattle.

The sellers won’t walk from the front of the shops to the back of the counter; instead, they’ll throw fish to each other. It’s not as easy as it looks, but there are some tricks to it. That’s how the practice began. The fish are so slimy that they want to get away from you when you try to close their mouths. Kriisa has this happen a few times, but he catches it before it falls.

Kriisa didn’t play very well against Clemson, but he will be hoping to get back on track against Gonzaga. He might also be given more responsibility since starting point guard Lamont Butler hurt his ankle against the Tigers. Mark Pope, the head coach, thinks Butler will be ready to go tomorrow. But Kriisa might have to play more minutes anyway. We hope that those soft hands help make a strong attack possible when it’s needed.

At 10 p.m. EST, you can watch the game on ESPN2. It will be Kentucky’s third game against Gonzaga. They’ve lost the last two, but they want to change that on Saturday.
