It is now clear to me what Fernando Torres truly believes about Liverpool, and the actions he took have caused us all to suffer

In the first section of his piece, John Aldridge devotes his attention to the Liverpool Legends match that took place at Anfield on Saturday.

In the moment that Fernando Torres left Liverpool, I was completely and utterly heartbroken. He was extremely talented as a player.

It would not have been a problem for me if he had returned to Spain, specifically to either Barcelona or Real Madrid. Despite the fact that he was capable of playing for them, the fact that he went to Chelsea was a blow to all of us. Although you can’t make a comparison between Chelsea and Liverpool, the fact that he went there pained me. It was painful for all of us.

However, time continues to pass. He does not belong to the Scousers, he was not born in Liverpool, and he is free to act in any manner he chooses.

He left for Chelsea, which was a blow to all of us at the time, but it is clear that he still has a strong affection for the club. If we were to work together at the Legends game on Saturday, I would be more than happy to do so.

He was hopeful, hopeful that he would score his goal, and he was happy with the enthusiasm of the supporters. It was a day that he cherished, cherished everything about it. As the years pass, scars that have been healed. The Liverpool family includes him as a member.

What an incredible commitment Liverpool has made to Sven

When it came to the Legends game, the day was ideal. After everything that Sven has done for football, the club’s actions toward him were truly remarkable. A gentleman who is incredibly sweet and humble.

While working with Rushie and John Barnes, it was a pleasure to collaborate with Sven. Sven is an expert in his field. Despite falling behind by two goals, we were able to come back and win the game by kicking into the Kop, which is a pretty suitable outcome given how many times we have accomplished this.

We altered both the system and the players, and now everyone has a chance to play. We were a little bit out of our minds at the halftime break, but we knew what we needed to do, which was to take more chances, and we proceeded to do that.

For example, Steven Gerrard is one of the managers who is currently on the field. In the second half, he completely dominated the game and gained control of the situation. This was something that he was aware of.

It was not even necessary for him to move forward; all he needed to do was halt them while creating opportunities for us, and everything turned out wonderfully. It was a wonderful idea.

And a tremendous amount of money has been raised for people in need in Merseyside, including children, and Through Forever Reds, we receive ten percent of the proceeds to be donated to former players who are in need of assistance or who may want assistance in the future.

The fact that Liverpool is such a remarkable club has been demonstrated by us on several occasions. The group stays united. Look at what we did after the Hillsborough tragedy; we fought for years, with the family taking the lead.

The club, the fan base, and the ground are all unique and special in their own right. Our spiritual home has been preserved in Liverpool, despite the fact that there are other wonderful venues all around the country that have been reconstructed.

After the game, every single player was completely awestruck by the way the field seems at this point. It was the Anfield Road, the Main stand, and the mood as well.

What Liverpool accomplished for a charity game is something that not many clubs, at least in England, are capable of doing. It’s hard to believe all of this. Every time we’ve done it, we’ve always had a large number of people in attendance.

It was incredible to receive sixty thousand people. One half of them were children who were unable to attend matches. Because to the situation with Liverpool tickets, people are unable to attend matches, which is a really unfortunate aspect of the scenario.

Every time they play a home game, they have to turn away a large number of people because they are in such high demand. And all these young people want is for Liverpool to come out on top, and we did! That brought them a tremendous deal of joy, and they celebrated each and every goal.

For me, that was the most memorable part. In all honesty, everything was incredible, and the day was simply wonderful overall.

The unexpected visit from Sven was a surprise for Klopp’s students.

Prior to the game, Jurgen made his way to the hotel in order to meet with Sven. Not a lot of other people would voluntarily do that.

In spite of the fact that it was his day off, he went out of his way to make the trip in order to visit Sven. At the same time that he was having a pleasant conversation with us, he joined Rushy, Barnesy, and me at our table.

In addition to that, he went around the team and talked to each and every player. You may get an idea of the man’s height from this. He is such a real and excellent human being.

The day was wonderful; it was a day that was just fantastic for each and every person.
