In a defense of the former Aston Villa star, Di Canio asks Juventus to loan the Man United striker.
Paolo Di Canio, a former Italian striker, thinks that Juventus would do well to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United.
The 23-year-old became well-known while playing for Bologna, and there were reports that he was linked to the Bianconeri last summer, especially after his coach Thiago Motta was hired.
Unfortunately, the Dutchman was unable to complete a high-paying transfer to Old Trafford. He has since had trouble finding form and scoring goals in the Premier League.
According to Di Canio’s interview with Tuttosport (via IlBianconero), Zirkzee would have a hard time in the fast-paced EPL, so he offers a loan move to Juventus.
“I would ask Manchester United to let me borrow Zirkzee.” They have made a lot of bad decisions over the past few years, and none of them have worked. Not even Zirkzee, who is too slow for the Premier League.
“He might prove me wrong with goals and great play, but in England, they attack you right away and call 30% fewer fouls,” We saw how he changed Bologna, Italy. In the end, United could even loan him out because things were so crazy there. That’s already true, but they also have Rashford, who can play as a striker.
It would be great for Juventus to have someone like him because Motta would be able to have a scorer who is different from Vlahovic. Zirkzee isn’t a great scorer—he can’t even score 25 goals—but he does help other players do well.
Even though Douglas Luiz has had a slow start to life in Italian football, the former Lazio and West Ham striker says he is still a “top player.”
“I still think that Juventus has signed a great player, just like I said.” But what I saw here is a distant cousin; he doesn’t look like him at all. He is a very different player from the one I saw at Aston Villa, even though I think the 50 million dollar price tag is fair.
“I don’t blame the player or the coach. I don’t know what’s going on, but there might be a mental issue.” But I have no worries about how professional the player is. At Aston Villa, everyone looked up to him and loved him. He might have been sad while sitting on the bench. It makes sense for Thiago to now like Locatelli more because he is more focused, more aware, and faster on the ball and in his head.
