Hidden secret reason why Man United player Alejandro Garnacho was substituted for Amad Diallo Manchester United vs Bournemouth draw match
Alejandro Garnacho started for Manchester United for the thirty-first game in a row, which was a Premier League match against Bournemouth. However, he was taken off the field at halftime.
According to Erik ten Hag, the substitution of Alejandro Garnacho at halftime against Bournemouth was mostly the result of tactical considerations. This was due to the fact that Manchester United was experiencing difficulties on the right side of the field.
At the break, United was trailing Bournemouth by a score of 2-1, but they allowed a total of 12 shots on goal. Milos Kerkez had a shot that struck the crossbar, while an attempt by Justin Kluivert to score a second goal was prevented immediately before the halfway break. At the Vitality Stadium, Garnacho, who is 19 years old, started his thirty-first consecutive United game. However, Ten Hag yanked him out of the game and replaced him with Amad in order to “fix” United’s right side. After obtaining possession of the ball in the left lane, Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke and Patrick Kluivert are both responsible for scoring goals.
Harry Maguire engaged in conversation with trainer Richard Merron and doctor Jim Moxon during the first half of the game; yet, he participated in the entirety of the game. In addition, Ten Hag mentioned that Garnacho had not been in the gym for an entire week.
“Harry Maguire had an issue first half and, luckily for us, he overcame and recovered from it,” he explained to reporters. “It is clear that he was performing at a high level during the second half. At that point, he is able to demonstrate his leadership abilities, his defensive prowess, and his ability to rest on the ball, all of which were tremendously vital for this back four.
“We dropped some balls where we shouldn’t have.” It was a good idea to set up the first goal, but you should never let the ball get away from you in that position. To this day, that is not an aim. During the first half, we had a difficult time guarding the right side of the field. When we were in the middle, we repaired it.
In the second half, we were able to take a greater amount of control of the game and fix the problem on the right side. If we had been more calm and collected, we might have been able to win the game. Harry played exceptionally well.
“They played better in the first half.” There were opportunities for them, but the good thing is that we were able to come back from being down twice. For the time being, that is all. There is a lot of grit and toughness on this team, and they have a fantastic mentality.
“I believe we had to fix the right side.” It was because we did not play very well that the gaps were there. As soon as we had a sub, we were required to bring it there.
“Garnacho didn’t train during the week.” A short while ago. One of our goals was to infuse that right-hand side with greater energy and quality, with quality being defined as the degree to which individuals collaborate well.
