Guardiola has tipped Manchester City £87 million to acquire a player he deems superior to Mohamed Salah.

Last season, Kvaratskhelia helped Napoli win their first Serie A championship in 33 years. With 14 goals and 17 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions, he finished seventeenth in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

The Napoli No.77 has maintained his outstanding form this season, attracting the attention of Pep Guardiola and Manchester City with three goals and five assists in 15 appearances.

Thierry Henry, for those of you who are unfamiliar with his playing technique, has interestingly compared Kvaratskhelia to Eden Hazard.

Txiki Begiristain faces an additional challenge with this operation, as Napoli are attempting to sign Kvaratskhelia to a new contract.

Napoli, according to Calciomercato, recognizes the 22-year-old’s extraordinary performance in Naples and intends to reward him with a salary increase as part of a contract extension through 2028 or 2029.

Stanislav Lobotka told Corriere dello Sport that Kvaratskhelia is comparable to Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, not Mohamed Salah. Currently, Kvaratskhelia is under contract with Napoli until July 2027.

Manchester City continues to monitor the situation closely as they pursue the Tiflis-born sensation.
