Grizzlies Stars breaks the Ice As He Reacts To $240 million Trade Deal

Jaren Jackson Jr., a two-time All-Star and previous Defensive Player of the Year, was quickly locked in by the Memphis Grizzlies with a five-year, $240 million max deal extension shortly after the start of free agency.

While they’ll need to make some adjustments to their financial situation—for example, figuring out how to get out of Cole Anthony’s contract—Jackson is here to stay.

Coming off a season in which he shot 37.5% from outside the arc and averaged 22.2 points per game, Jackson is riding high.

Even while he hasn’t blocked as many shots as he did during his DPOY season, he’s still a formidable defender, and his scoring efficiency has improved.

You will learn your identity through the M. my heart. “No matter what, it’s grit and grind out here,” Jackson said. “To this day, it feels like it was only yesterday that I moved here. seventh grade.

Everyone who has had an effect on my stay here has my deepest gratitude. to many more to come. The “M” has always been there, he continued.

“the M will teach you who you are . w love . it’s always grit n grind when we’re out here at all costs,” Jackson shared.

“still feel like I remember moving here yesterday. year 7. I am incredibly thankful for everyone who has impacted my time here. to much more ahead . always been the M,” he added.

Jackson was chosen by the Grizzlies as the fourth overall pick from Michigan State in the 2018 NBA draft, which was a loaded class that included Luka Doncic and Trae Young.

Memphis wanted to hold on to Jackson since he has become a fantastic player for the team.

Some assumed the Grizzlies were trying to dismantle the squad when they moved Desmond Bane to the Magic, but they’ve since signed Ty Jerome and made other significant moves to strengthen their roster.

Even in a deep Western Conference, they should be quite competitive.
