Grizzlies’ Last Piece: What’s The Final to Complete Grizzlies 2025 NBA Roster?

Going into the 2025–26 season, the Grizzlies’ roster looks like it will stay the same, but they could make another deal.

The Memphis Grizzlies’ off-season has been very interesting.

The Grizzlies decided to change how they were building their team after a disappointing 2024–25 season in which they lost steam near the end and had to play the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs, where they were quickly swept.

They did this by trading Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic.

The Grizzlies got Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in exchange for Bane. Given how badly Caldwell-Pope played for the offense-starved Magic last season, his deal has become quite an albatross.

But this move seems to have some kind of roster-building goal because Caldwell-Pope is a better defender and doesn’t have as much control over the ball as Bane does. This means that Ja Morant can be the team’s clear best passer.

The Grizzlies are also building their team in the same way that the Thunder and the Indiana Pacers did last season, by putting together as much talent as possible around their star players.

Memphis can rest easy knowing that Morant and Jackson Jr. will be together for at least three more years. But the Grizzlies might make one more move before the season starts that would make this a truly complete summer.
