The Grizzlies of Memphis would like to get a better look at Lawson Lovering. Memphis is interested in the Utah native’s 7-foot centre because he shot 62.5% during Summer League.
According to DraftExpress, Lovering inked an Exhibit 10 deal with the Grizzlies. A player with such a contract would be more likely to remain with the G League affiliate in Memphis even if he were to negotiate a higher offer with the Grizzlies.
In Summer League, Lovering averaged 13 minutes per game while scoring 3.4 points and grabbing 3.1 rebounds.
He started his college career at Colorado, but it’s with the Utes that he broke out.
In 2024-25, Lovering started all 28 games he played. He put up 8.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and an impressive 2.7 assists per game.
Lovering’s length plus basketball sense give him a chance to stick around the professional ranks. Not every big guy can pass like him, and you can’t teach height.
