Gabby Agbonlahor goes after Everton star Jordan Pickford live on air, saying, “He’d kill me.”
There was a “world-class” debate about Jordan Pickford, the Everton goalie, and Gabby Agbonlahor called him “erratic.”
This 30-year-old goalkeeper has had a rough start to the 2024–25 season. In his first seven league games, he let in 15 goals, but he recently saved a penalty to help his team tie Newcastle United.
With 287 games for Everton since moving to Goodison Park in the summer of 2017, Pickford has earned a lot of respect along the way.
When asked live on talkSPORT [17 October 6:26am] if Pickford is “world-class,” Agbonlahor said, “I wouldn’t say world-class, but I do think he’s a very good goalkeeper.” Although he is quick on his feet and can make big stops, he can be too unpredictable at times.
“He’d kill me if I played for Everton, though.” Unpredictable. He is going to save the game and then yell at the whole team. You need to do that. Do what you need to do and save.
Is Everton’s fantastic Jordan Pickford a world-class goalkeeper?
Pickford has saved several Everton goals and has always been a reliable performer for his country, so fans will say he doesn’t have much left to show on the.
His lack of experience with one of the Premier League’s “big-six” teams shouldn’t take away from the fact that he is a world-class goalie.
The 30-year-old was a big reason why Everton made it through last season. He only let Arsenal’s David Raya keep more clean sheets than him, but Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski came before him.
The Merseyside club has had a much tougher start to the league season, losing their first four games. But things are finally looking up after they won five points in their last three games.
Pickford is going to be very important as the Premier League season goes on, and most fans agree that he is “world-class,” despite Agbonlahor’s opinion.
