Favour Akih, a four-star running back from Delaware Hayes High School, has officially committed to Ohio State for the 2026 recruiting class following an official visit this past weekend. Akih rushed for an impressive 1,653 yards and scored 21 touchdowns during the 2024 season, showcasing a blend of speed, power, and agility that makes him a versatile threat on the field. Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 14 running back nationally in the 2026 class, and is among the top ten players in the state of Ohio.
Akih expressed his gratitude and excitement about the commitment on social media, stating,

He also mentioned how much he and his family enjoyed the official visit to Ohio State, which played a significant role in his decision.
Ohio State’s head coach Ryan Day and running backs coach Carlos Locklyn have been actively recruiting Akih, who is the first running back commit for the Buckeyes in the 2026 cycle and the 14th overall recruit.
