The Kansas City Chiefs sent a message to the NFL when they made a huge deal for DeAndre Hopkins, a former All-Pro wide receiver. They want to be the first team in NFL history to win the Super Bowl three times in a row.

The Chiefs might need a little more scoring, though, to make their three-peat dreams come true. The 2024 season has seen Kansas City run the ball very well, but QB Patrick Mahomes is having one of the worst statistical years of his career so far. However, the Chiefs are now 6-0 and can afford to buy nicer things instead of more important ones.

KC notices Kupp

After getting hurt, Los Angeles Rams receiver Cooper Kupp is back to playing the way many fans have come to expect him to. The Rams are in a tough spot in the standings, and there has been a lot of talk that Los Angeles might try to trade Kupp in the next few days in order to get something valuable in return and get rid of his nearly $30 million cap hit.

One team that is said to have talked to the Rams about their former Super Bowl MVP? As second-year wide receiver Rashee Rice heals from a knee injury, the Chiefs are looking for another strong pass-catcher.

Kupp had 1,947 receiving yards, which was the most in the NFL that year. He also helped the Rams win their first Super Bowl since moving back to Los Angeles. But Kupp has had trouble this season and the last few because of injuries. Due to an ankle sprain, Kupp missed four games. He has only played 24 regular-season games since his famous 2021 season.

Still, Kansas City will have to make a very good deal to Los Angeles in order to get Kupp. The Rams shocked everyone by beating the Vikings on Thursday. Now, they are only one game behind the leaders in the NFC West, which has surprisingly become a very open division. Rams head coach Sean McVay has taken a strong public stand on Kupp by saying that the team is no longer looking to trade the star receiver. However, only time will tell if this is just empty words.
