It’s not a surprise that Arteta and Edu are thinking about moving for Gyokeres.
Arsenal is constantly looking at the Swedish player, who has had a great season in Portugal since moving from Coventry to Sporting CP for £20 million in July 2023.
There is an easy, but pricey, way for Arsenal to sign Viktor Gyokeres.
This summer, Arsenal won’t have to waste time negotiating a fee with Sporting CP because Gyokeres’ deal includes a €100m (£85m) release clause.
That was even made public on Sporting CP’s website.
It’s clear that Arteta will have to talk to Gyokeres and convince him to join, but that shouldn’t be a problem since Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world.
If the Gunners can make this transfer happen, it will be a huge deal because the 25-year-old has been involved in so many goals this season.
Keep an eye on this because Gyokeres is someone to keep an eye on during the summer trade window.
