Ex Man United player Jadon Sancho reveals true colors as he bids Man United a farewell message
After negotiations that lasted throughout Friday, Manchester United has verified that Jadon Sancho has completed a season-long loan move to Chelsea on the late transfer deadline day.
Jadon Sancho expressed his gratitude to the Manchester United supporters, players, and staff following the conclusion of his season-long loan to Chelsea.
On transfer deadline day, Sancho, 24, completed a transfer late, but it was not until Saturday evening that an announcement was made. United issued a brief statement that verified his departure and extended their best wishes for the remainder of the season.
Once the summer transfer window opens next year, Chelsea will be required to permanently acquire Sancho, as confirmed in their statement that was shared simultaneously. The former England international is still a United player, as per his contract, but he has already effectively departed the club.
That was evident in the message from Sancho on the social media platform X, which United also reposted, approximately 20 minutes after the announcement of the transfer. “I am grateful to the fans, staff, and teammates of Manchester United.” I hope that everyone has a wonderful future.
Chelsea’s statement also included a quotation from Sancho. Sancho expressed his enthusiasm for his arrival. “I am delighted to be returning to London, the city where I was raised.”
“The project was discussed with me by the manager, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, and it is thrilling for a young player.” I am optimistic that I will be able to contribute goals and assists to the Bridge.
Sancho has since joined United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, and he has scored 12 goals and assisted six others in 83 appearances. Last year, he spent four months on loan at Dortmund, where he tallied three goals and provided as many assists.
His most recent appearance for United was in the Community Shield against Manchester City earlier this month. He played for seven minutes after replacing Marcus Rashford as a second-half substitute. In the succeeding penalty shootout, Sancho also missed, and it will be his final kick for the club.
