On Sunday, Manchester City and Liverpool played to a fun 1-1 tie at Anfield.

As the end of the Premier League season draws near, Jamie Carragher still thinks that Manchester City is the team to beat.

Even though City and Liverpool tied 1-1 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, Arsenal is still in first place by just one point. There are now only ten games left in the season. Arsenal is the next team Pep Guardiola’s team will play after the upcoming international break.

All three teams were still in the running to win England’s top flight this season. John Stones thought he had given the Blues an early advantage by flicking home Kevin De Bruyne’s cross, but Alexis Mac Allister’s penalty in the second half made sure that the score would be tied after a back-and-forth game.

“That was fun. When Carragher talked to Sky Sports after the game on Merseyside, he said, “The Premier League is great.”

“Both teams should be proud of how they played. I wanted Liverpool to win in the end, but these two managers have done a great job for us over the last seven or eight years.” It looks like it will come down to the wire with Arsenal!”

“If you were Arsenal and watched today, you probably thought that a draw would be the best outcome for you.” Then if you’re Liverpool and you watch Arsenal play Manchester City in a few weeks, you’ll be thinking the same thing. I think both teams are still trying to catch City. They’re still the best team.

“They need to get the points to beat them, but City has a tough next four or five games. Even though Arsenal is ahead, I think Liverpool would still rather see them beat City because I think City gets all three points in their last five or six games of the season.”

“It will be hard to stop them if they don’t lose points soon.”
