DONE DEAL: Arsenal FC Official signs a new sensational player from wolves
Arsenal has finished the acquisition of Wolves’ 16-year-old star player Brayden Clarke.
The young Welsh player has signed a contract to join Mikel Arteta’s team as a first-year trainee.
Clarke was an important part of the Wales Under-17s team that made it to the finals of the European Championship in 2023. They were the first Welsh team of that age to make it to a big finals since the early 1980s.
The teen has already played his first game for the Gunners. On Saturday, Arsenal’s Under-18s beat Crystal Palace 8–3 in the U18 Premier League.
Clarke posted on Instagram about how excited he was to join the team that is currently on top of the English Premier League after making the move from the Midlands.
“Now is the time for me to start a new chapter.” His post on social media said, “I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. I also wish all of my teammates at Wolves the best of luck in the future.”
People have long said that Arsenal’s school is one of the best in the country. Stars like Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith-Rowe, and Joe Willock all came through the ranks at Hale End.
Arteta is very eager to help the Gunners’ next generation of talented players, and he has said in the past that having a constant flow of young players can be very important.
Back in 2021, he said, “I knew about our academy because I played here.”
“Some of their skills had already shown, and I had played with some of them.” To raise players is part of who we are.
“We have a great academy, and our coaches teach those players so well that they deserve all the praise.”
“And then – like anybody – they need opportunities, they need game time to prove that they can do it at that level.”
