Chelsea have joined the competition with Manchester City and Newcastle for the services of Napoli sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The Blues are reportedly interested in acquiring the Georgian forward and are monitoring him (Metro). However, they face stiff competition from European clubs in this regard (ESPN). Additionally, Real Madrid and Barcelona are said to have expressed interest.

Leading Napoli to their first Scudetto since 1990, Kvaratskhelia had a sensational and productive campaign in which he scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.

He was ranked seventeenth in the Ballon d’Or and was dubbed Serie A Most Valuable Player and Champions League Young Player of the Season in recognition of his sumptuous performance.

The 22-year-old began the current campaign similarly, accumulating four assists and three goals in 11 appearances; his play has piqued the interest of numerous clubs.

Todd Boehly has prioritized the acquisition of talented players for Chelsea, and the Napoli icon fulfills their requirements. His attributes will make him an outstanding asset to the group.

However, given the existing rosters of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, and Christopher Nkunku, it becomes challenging to ascertain which players will be benched in the event that the Blues acquire Kvaratskhelia.

Although Nkunku has yet to fully recuperate from his injury, Mudryk and Sterling have both demonstrated indications of progress and improved their performances, respectively. Adding a fourth left wing option will be a challenging and disruptive endeavor. Dribbling and scoring capabilities notwithstanding, Kvaratskhelia is outstanding and will pose a significant threat to the opposition.
