Celtic wants to pay £8 million for this “very interesting and promising talent.”
Even though it’s not even January yet, Celtic is already being tied to players that Brendan Rodgers may want to add to his team to make it stronger.
Rodgers took out a loan in the summer and had Celtic spend £20 million on Adam Idah and Arne Engels to make the team stronger for the league and cup games.
Plus, we still want to spend another £10 million on Paulo Bernardo, Luke McCowan, and Auston Trusty.
Rodgers is likely to keep spending money in January, and now Newcastle are interested in a young player that Celtic was linked to back in September.
Newcastle wants Bazoumana Toure, who is wanted by Celtic 67 Last month, Hail Hail talked about how Celtic are “seriously interested” in Bazoumana Toure, a young forward for Hammarby.
It is said that the 18-year-old Ivorian is worth €10m (£8.32m) to the Swedish team. However, an exclusive story from TBR Football says that Newcastle is now also interested in Celtic’s player.
The story also says that a number of English clubs, such as Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, West Ham, and Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur, are keeping an eye on the young player.
Toure seems like he will have a great career in football even though he is still very young. Fabrizio Romano called him a “very interesting and promising talent.”
Bazoumana Toure’s stats and how well Celtic fit
This season, Toure has been in great shape for Hammarby in the Allsvenskan. The young winger has played 22 games and scored nine goals, including a hat trick over the weekend (watch below). He has also set up four goals, which has helped his team get to a high second place in the league.
Toure has also played once in the CAF Champions League (formerly the African Cup of Champions Clubs) for ASEC Mimosa, his old team.
Toure is obviously a good player, and the fact that he is getting so much attention means that if Celtic want to sign him in January, they will have to fight hard to do so.
