Carlo Ancelotti, who used to manage Everton, talks about why he was mad at the Barcelona coach during El Clasico.
After the game on Saturday night, Carlo Ancelotti talked about his heated argument with Hansi Flick. After falling to Barcelona 4-0 at home, Real Madrid is now six points behind their foes and in second place in La Liga.
Before Robert Lewandowski scored two goals in the first three minutes of the second half, the scores were tied at halftime. It got even bigger before the game was over thanks to Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
When the fourth goal was scored, Ancelotti walked up to Flick and pointed while talking. He later said, though, that what he didn’t like about Flick was how one of the Barcelona coaches acted.
This was made clear by Ancelotti to the reporters after the game: “I didn’t argue with Hansi Flick; I got mad at one of his staff.” “He made gestures towards our bench; he didn’t act like a gentleman.”
According to Flick, the event was not important. It’s something I haven’t seen. Although I did talk to him, everything is fine. The goal was praised. Let’s talk about this since we’re adults.
Kylian Mbappe was caught offside seven times during the game, which led to two Madrid goals being called back by the referee. Ancelotti also offered his support. Former Everton manager: “We almost didn’t use the high line because we knew they would use it.”
A few times, he was offside, but he did have chances. On three or four occasions, though, they needed to do better. The way we did things doesn’t bother me. Our chances did come up.
“Losing is always a tough time.” And it’s even more impressive when you do it after going so long without losing.
He also said, “We don’t have to throw everything away.” We need to forget what happened 30 minutes ago. It’s not like what happened on the field.
“They got ahead because we couldn’t get ahead on the scoreboard.” The game was pretty even until the first goal; we had more chances.
“We’ve already lost 4-0 to Barcelona here, but we won La Liga and the Champions League.” We won’t be too far from last year.”
