Jevon Hirst, 16, Harvey Owen, 17, Wilf Fitchett, 17, and Hugo Morris, 18, all of whom were adolescents from Shrewsbury, Shropshire, went on a camping excursion to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park but never returned home.

The proprietor of a farm where four adolescents perished in a car accident tragically described the “brutal” conditions under which the vehicles veered off the road and entered a ravine filled with water.

Garreg Hyll Drem Farm is where farmer Rhys Williams resides, which is only 25 meters from the ditch where four corpses were discovered earlier this week at 10 a.m. on November 21. Hugo Morris, 18, Jevon Hirst, 16, Harvey Owen, 17, and Wilf Fitchett, 17, all attended the same college and were residents of Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

They had departed for a camping excursion in the scenic Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, but did not return, prompting concerned family members to sound the alarm. This prompted family and friends to anticipate the worst until a passing binman spotted the silver Ford Fiesta in which they had been traveling, at which point a desperate manhunt ensued.

The “brutal” conditions the adolescents were traversing while driving when they vanished and their vehicle overturned in a flooded ditch after swerving off a winding country road, as described by Mr. Williams. The exact time of the catastrophic accident remains unknown. Mr. Williams remarked that they were “so unfortunate” to have deviated from the roadway at a steep bend and flipped their vehicle into a ditch that two days of precipitation had flooded.

He stated to The Mirror, “Sunday was a brutal day. Although there is typically one to two feet of water in the culvert, it can reach the car’s level in six feet. On Friday and Saturday, the weather was poor because the river had rapidly rose. However, by Tuesday morning, the level had decreased. They truly were unfortunate. “Had they encountered a tree or a fence, they might have deviated on course.”

“At 10 that morning, they were discovered by the recycling truck,” the farmer continued. They were able to perceive them due to their elevated position. According to the binman, they had contacted the police. From this location, it is a mere 25 meters around the corner. While I could make out the vehicle, nothing else was visible.

“They were likely traveling north from Harlech in the direction of Snowdonia.” They had the option to travel either of these two roads. There are no visible traces or objects along the road. It curves sharply and then becomes narrower. Extensive foliage accumulated at that corner. Before that, one or two accidents occurred at that location.

Tuesday evening saw the removal of the Fiesta from the occurrence. However, officers returned on Wednesday morning to conduct a torchlight search of the area. Mr. Williams described how at least two buses and possibly additional vehicles would have passed the accident scene without noticing. “They were so unlucky, the way the car entered,” he continued. It has fallen low into the ravine where it is positioned. It is a compact automobile. As I passed, I observed nothing. Two vehicles would have passed by without noticing anything prior to 10 a.m.

“They would have spent the entire Monday there.” To observe anything, one must be seated in a high-altitude vehicle and actively gazing as a passenger. Optimally, the motorist would have been observing the road. Its observed binman remarked that an object had captured his attention. While using his mobile device, he glanced over. It would be difficult to see from a vehicle. Certain networks do not transmit here. EE is satisfactory, whereas Vodafone is not. Sunday saw elevated water levels.
