The Lionesses were defeated by Spain in the 2023 Women’s World Cup final, in which all three athletes participated.

A total of four Chelsea players are present: Germany midfielder Sjoeke Nusken, Colombia striker Mayra Ramirez, Bronze, who departed Barcelona in June when her contract expired, and James.

Yui Hasegawa, a Japanese midfielder who plays for Manchester City, is also included in the list, as is Mariona Caldentey, a forward for Arsenal and Spain.

Barcelona, NJ/NY, and Chelsea, the 2023–24 Women’s Super League champions, are all contenders for the club of the year award. Lyon, Paris St. Germain, and Gotham FC.

Emma Hayes, the manager of the United States, is competing for the women’s coach of the year award with Sarina Wiegman, the manager of England, and Sonia Bompastor, the successor of Chelsea.
