Once he got to Manchester United on Monday, Ruben Amorim put together his coaching staff. Some past players have already criticised his choices.

Is it really only two days since Ruben Amorim became manager of Manchester United? He’s already been very busy.

After his last game as manager of Sporting Lisbon on Sunday night in Braga, Amorim flew straight over from Portugal on a private jet and arrived at Carrington on Monday afternoon. After taking charge of four games as temporary manager, he told former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy that he was no longer needed.

He will instead work at United with assistant coaches Carlos Fernandes, Adelio Candido, and Emanuel Ferro, custodian coach Jorge Vital, and sports scientist Paulo Barreira. This is the same team that did so well at Sporting. They are now getting ready for a game against Ipswich at Portman Road on November 24, which will happen after the international break.

As the new age starts, there are many other things that need to be set up at Carrington and Old Trafford.

Ferdinand asks about Amorim’s call

Rio Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves think that Amorim should have kept Van Nistelrooy on as a coach to work with the players and keep in touch with the fans.

Hargreaves, who used to play centre for United, said on Rio Ferdinand Presents that the Dutchman could have worked with Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Marcus Rashford: “They should learn from the best person who has ever done it.” You don’t have to be the coach’s main role, but you can help these guys learn the little things.

He agreed and said, “We’ve been waiting for a manager to get in touch with the players.” We have one now. “Why are you going to get rid of him?” Unhappy United fans are also upset that Van Nistelrooy was fired but Darren Fletcher was kept on to work with the youth team.

Tell the three stars to step up

Garnacho, Rashford, and Amad have all been told they need to get better now that Amorim is at United. The three wingers have been picked out by former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit as the ones who need to step up and show the new manager what they can do.

“Some of Manchester United’s players aren’t good enough for me,” Petit told Instant Casino. “I believe they need to add good players to the midfield and on the wings as well.” It’s too bad, but I’m still not sure about Garnacho, Amad, or Rashford. He needs to get a lot of work done.

Ten Hag had a fight with seven guys.

There were a lot of fights between Erik ten Hag and his players during his two-and-a-half-year tenure as manager. Mirror Football has recorded seven of these fights.

The most well-known was with Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia after a fight with Ten Hag. In an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo slammed his boss. He said everything, even though he knew the club would punish him.

A fight broke out between Jadon Sancho and Ten Hag after Ten Hag said that Sancho wasn’t working well. In a social media post, Sancho basically called him a liar and then refused to say sorry. He was then sent to train by himself. Last season, Sancho played for six months at Borussia Dortmund. He is now on loan at Chelsea.

People like Harry Maguire, David de Gea, and Anthony Martial have also gone past Ten Hag in the past few years. Rashford also got in trouble for going to Belfast for a wild night out a few days before an FA Cup game at Newport.
