Breaking News: The FA Cup decision made by Newcastle United has been criticized by Manchester City

People have said bad things about Manchester City’s ticket prices for their FA Cup quarterfinal match against Newcastle United later this month.

The away fans will be huge when Eddie Howe’s team plays at the Etihad Stadium on March 16 (kick-off 5:30pm), just like they were when they played at Sunderland, Fulham, and Blackburn Rovers before.

But again, fans will have to pay a lot since Man City set ticket prices for adults at between £35 and £37.50. Even though Newcastle charged City fans £20 to see the Carabao Cup game at St. James’ Park in September.

“In the @Carabao_Cup, we charged Man City fans £20 for adults,” Newcastle United Supporters’ Club (NUSC) said on X, which used to be Twitter. #MCFC will charge fans £37 to watch the @EmiratesFACup.

“Another example of poor ticket pricing our supporters have faced this season and further evidence a cup price cap is needed.”

Two fans answered, “disgusting” and “ticket caps should be in place in all professional football leagues.” There are price caps on even UEFA events.

It didn’t take long for the Football Supporters’ Association to agree with NUSC. They said, “The £30 cap in the Premier League has been a great success—saving fans millions and making sure away ends stay full.”

“This isn’t a Premier League game, but the FA Cup should never be a reason to charge more and cheat fans.” Keep the #FACup low-cost.

People liked that Blackburn kept the price of an adult ticket at £20 in the previous round, while Fulham charged £40 for a fourth round game.

Fans with 25 or more away points could buy tickets for the trip to Man City on Monday. As long as there are slots available, points will be taken away twice a day, at 10am and 4pm, Monday through Friday.

Rolando Aarons and Moussa Sissoko scored in a 2-0 League Cup win for Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium almost 10 years ago. That was their last and only win there. The Magpies will go back to Wembley for the semi-final if they make it that far.
