Breaking News: Manchester City player Kevin De Bruyne reveals when he will return from injury
Kevin De Bruyne gave an update on his injury and said when he wants to be ready to play for Manchester City again.
De Bruyne hurt his hamstring in the first game of the Premier League season against Burnley.
He had the same problem that cut short his game in last year’s Champions League final against Inter Milan.
When he got hurt, Pep Guardiola said, “He will be out for four or five months.”
“Because of injuries, we’re not at our best.” That’s normal. We make some changes, but the idea is still there.
The Belgium midfielder had surgery to fix his hamstring, which is why he has only played one game this season.
He said he still needs “time” to heal, but he hopes to come back after the New Year.
HLN in Abu Dhabi heard him say, “Things are getting better.” I’ll get there, but I need some time first. I hope to be ready to go again after the New Year.
De Bruyne was a star in center for Man City last season, when they won all three of their titles.
Over the course of 49 games, he scored 10 goals and helped Chelsea win the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Champions League.
Man City is in second place in the league after winning nine of their 13 games without the 32-year-old’s help.
On Saturday, they tied Liverpool 1-1.
Man City has won all of their European games and is now through to the next round of the Champions League.
But they are out of the Carabao Cup because Newcastle United beat them.
Man City hopes to have De Bruyne back for the second part of the 2023–24 season. His return will be a big help to them.
