Because of the leak incident, the sister-in-law of football star Hwang was sentenced to three years in prison.

Yonhap News Agency, SEOUL, March 14 — Hwang Ui-jo’s sister-in-law was sentenced to three years in prison on Thursday for revealing the football player’s private life and blackmailing him. The allegations against her were brought against her by the football player.

An indictment was brought against the lady because she utilized Instagram to post sexually explicit photographs and videos of Hwang with other women, while simultaneously portraying herself as Hwang’s ex-lover.

Specifically, she asserted that the football player had slept with a number of women, some of whom were celebrities, and then duped them into thinking that he was dating them, only to abandon them later.

In addition, the woman is suspected of blackmailing Hwang by sending him messages in which she stated that “it will be fun” if the films were made public.

The defendant had categorically disputed the charges that were brought against her right up until the trial, citing the likelihood that her phone had been hacked. However, just one month ago, she submitted a handwritten apology to the judges, in which she admitted to having committed the crime.

Due to suspicions that he filmed a sexual contact with a woman without obtaining her agreement, Hwang himself is currently the subject of an investigation by the police. A month ago, the police handed over the case to the prosecutor’s office.
