Breaking News: A complete list of Man City’s FFP charges while Arsenal awaits the outcome of a points deduction
As a result of Everton’s ten-point deduction for violating Financial Fair Play regulations, Manchester City’s ongoing investigation is brought to light.
Everton, a Premier League club, have been reduced by ten points subsequent to their conviction for a violation of Financial Fair Play regulations. The club has declared its intention to contest this decision in an appeal. As the English Premier League awaits the conclusion of Manchester City’s FFP investigation, the sanction announcement for the Toffees has caused widespread concern.
The Premier League disclosed earlier this year that City had been accused of more than 115 alleged FFP violations spanning nine seasons, from 2009-10 to 2017-18. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur, who are all presently in a title race with Pep Guardiola’s squad, will all be monitoring the Citizens’ investigation.
The entire list of accusations for which the city is conducting an investigation is contained in the following statement:
The Premier League confirms, in accordance with Premier League Rule W.82.1, that it has referred to a Commission under Premier League Rule W.3.4 a number of alleged violations of the Premier League Rules by Manchester City Football Club (Club).
The following are specific provisions of the Premier League regulations that the club is purported to have violated:
1. For each of Seasons 2009/10 to 2017/18 inclusive, the Premier League Rules that mandated member clubs to provide the league with accurate financial information in good faith that provides a true and fair picture of the club’s financial position, specifically regarding its revenue (including sponsorship revenue), related parties, and operating costs, were as follows:
(a) Premier League Rules B.13, C.71, C.72, C.75 (amended to C.79 on September 10, 2009 for the remainder of Season 2009/10), and C.80; (b) Premier League Rules B.13, C.78, C.79, C.86, and C.87; (c) Premier League Rules B.13, E.3, 4, E.11, and E.12; (d) Premier League Rules 16.3, E.4, E.11, and E.12; (e) Premier League Rules 15.3, E.4, E.11, E.12; (i) Premier League Rules C.14E
2. With regard to the following: (a) The Premier League Rules that mandate a member club to disclose comprehensive information regarding manager remuneration in its relevant contracts with its manager for each of Seasons 2009/10 to 2012/13 inclusive; and (2) the Premier League Rules P.7 and P.8 for Season 2012/13; and (b) the Premier League Rules that apply to each of Seasons 2010/11 to 2015/16 inclusive;
3. For each of Seasons 2013/14 to 2017/18 inclusive, the Premier League Rules that mandate adherence to UEFA’s regulations by a member club, including the Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations, are as follows: (a) Premier League Rule B.14.6 for Season 2013/14; and (b) Premier League Rule B.15.6 for Seasons 2014/15 to 2017/18 inclusive.
4. With regard to the Profitability and Sustainability Regulations of the Premier League for each of the seasons 2015/16 to 2017/18 inclusive, the following regulations shall apply: (a) Premier League Rules E.52 to E.60 for Season 2015/16; and (b) Premier League Rules E.53 to E.60 for Seasons 2016/17 and 2017/18.
5. From December 2018 onwards, the Premier League Rules that were in effect during the corresponding Seasons and mandated a member club’s cooperation and assistance to the Premier League in its investigations, including the provision of documents and information in good faith, are as follows: (a) Premier League Rules B.16, B.19, W.1, W.2, W.12, and W.13 for Season 2018/19; (b) Premier League Rules B.16, B.19, W.1, W.2, and W.12 for Season 2019/20
Commissions operate autonomously from both the Premier League and its member clubs. The independent Chair of the Premier League Judicial Panel shall appoint the members of the Commission in adherence to Premier League Rules W.19, W.20, and W.26.
In adherence to Premier League Rule W.82, the proceedings before the Commission shall be treated as confidential and conducted in private. The publication of the Commission’s final award on the Premier League website is in accordance with Premier League Rule W.82.2.
This verification is conducted in adherence to Premier League Regulation W.82.1. With respect to this subject, the Premier League will refrain from providing any additional remarks until further notice.
