Manchester City, the Premier League champions, have bolstered their squad by acquiring Savinho from Troyes in France for an estimated £30 million. The player, who was on loan at Girona of La Liga last season, is City’s inaugural acquisition of the summer in anticipation of their pursuit of the Premier League title, which they have successfully defended for the past four years.
The BBC has reported that Manchester City have concluded their first signing of the summer by acquiring Brazilian winger Savinho from Troyes for a fee of £30 million.
The 20-year-old, who is highly regarded, has been signed by the Premier League champions on a five-year contract.
Savinho, who joined the Ligue 2 team in 2022, spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Girona. He played a critical role in the Spanish team’s successful qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
