BREAKING: Man City might make stunning transition to a new league

Keith Wyness, the former head of Everton, has proposed that Manchester City could participate in a Saudi-run “global league” in the future.

During the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old, who previously served as CEO at Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009 and currently operates a football consultancy that provides guidance to elite clubs, maintained that the European Super League is “dead” and cannot be revived, despite City’s dispute with the Premier League.

Last week (7 June), Football Insider disclosed that Man City could potentially rejoin the Super League initiative as early as the following season if their legal dispute with the English top-flight is unsuccessful.

In an effort to eliminate the Associated Party Transaction (ATP) regulations, the Premier League champions have initiated legal proceedings against the Premier League.

City’s relationship with the Premier League has already been strained by their alleged 115 financial accusations, which are scheduled to be heard over the course of six weeks in November.

Wyness stated that he does not anticipate the European Super League being revived following the cancellation of the initial initiative in 2021.

He stated on the Insider Track podcast of Football Insider: “The Super League is dead to me.”

“If they wish to reestablish the relationship with Real Madrid, may God bless them.”I am uncertain as to whom City would be facing, as Juventus has abandoned the concept and re-entered the European Clubs Association.

“It is possible that they would tour the world with Real Madrid, similar to the Harlem Globetrotters.”

“They have caused themselves significant harm through this lawsuit.” They are subject to severe penalties if they pursue another Super League scenario.I believe they are more inclined to be patient and await the establishment of a global league, which is likely to originate from Saudi Arabia.

“The European Super League will not be revitalized, and City will not benefit from this approach.”
