BREAKING: London City Lionesses on the brink of signing Swedish sensation
Sofia Jakobsson, a Sweden international, is on the brink of signing with the London City Lionesses from the San Diego Wave.
The Women’s Championship club would be making a statement by acquiring Jakobsson, 34, who has made over 100 appearances for Sweden.
In their pursuit of promotion to the Women’s Super League, the London City Lionesses have already acquired Sweden captain Kosovare Asllani this summer.
Jakobsson was introduced as a substitute for the San Diego Wave in Monday’s draw with the Washington Spirit. However, the London City Lionesses are currently in the process of finalising her transfer prior to their Women’s Championship opener against Newcastle on Sunday.
