BREAKING: Fabrizio Romano reveals Chelsea’s transfer deal involving striker with over 40 goals has terminated

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has officially verified that the anticipated transfer of Chelsea forward Armando Broja to Ipswich Town has fallen through.

According to reports, the versatile Albanian attacker was in high demand by the newly promoted Premier League team, and a loan agreement that included an obligation to purchase for £30 million was apparently nearing completion.

Nevertheless, Ipswich withdrew from the agreement due to an issue that was identified during Broja’s medical.

Romano took to X to verify the deal’s failure, as he stated:

“Armando Broja’s transfer to Ipswich Town has been completely shattered and has failed.” He has returned to Chelsea.

Broja, who is a graduate of Chelsea’s development system, worked his way up through the U18s, U19s, and U21s before breaking into the first team.

He failed to make a substantial impact at the senior level, despite his promise, as evidenced by his 38 appearances, three goals, and two assists. He has tallied 23 senior goals and contributed 44 goals and 11 assists across all levels during his career.

Broja is reportedly not included in the plans of new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, which is a significant setback.

Maresca has been unequivocal in his desire to restructure the squad, advising players such as Raheem Sterling, Broja, and Ben Chilwell to pursue alternate clubs.

Broja will require a period of rehabilitation to resolve a foot injury he sustained during Chelsea’s pre-season tour in the United States, according to reports from the BBC. However, a transfer to another club is not entirely ruled out.

Under this scenario, he may remain at Chelsea until the January transfer window, at which point he may be presented with an additional opportunity.

Nevertheless, it is conceivable that he may remain with Chelsea until January before a different solution is contemplated for him during the winter transfer window.

Broja’s immediate future is uncertain as the summer transfer window nears its conclusion, as a potential move has been postponed until he has fully recovered from his injury.
