Bombshell As Grizzlies’ GM secret Exposed after Desmond Bane Spills the Tea

Just lately, Desmond Bane discussed the talks that preceded his stunning trade. Still considered a major offseason transaction is the one that traded Bane from Memphis to Orlando.

Among the most costly deals in recent history, this one rates high. In exchange for Cole Anthony, five first-round picks, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Orlando traded with Memphis.

While some think Bane will do well with the Magic, others are sceptical of the high price.

The veteran guard recently addressed the circumstances surrounding his departure, detailing key discussions with Grizzlies general manager Zach Kleiman.

Grizzlies General manager Kleiman forewarned Bane of his future with the team prior to the move.

Following Memphis’ first-round sweep at the hands of the champion Oklahoma City Thunder and Kleiman’s exit interview, the procedure commenced.

Not only was head coach Tuomas Isalo’s future uncertain, but Desmond Bane’s and other players’ as well.

According to Bane, “that’s exactly what happened [GM not sure 100% Bane will be on the team next year]” in an interview with Zach Lowe via podcast.

A sweep washed across us. The atmosphere in the building was all about coaching, but that was a disappointing way to end.

During those challenging chats, Bane was pleased by Kleiman’s candour.

“Hey, look, there’s a possibility, I can’t guarantee anything,” Zach [Kielman] informed a handful of us in an honest and forthright manner.

Bane already building chemistry with Magic stars

However, Bane has moved forward and embraces his new challenge in Orlando.

He’s already begun connecting with future teammates Franz Wagner and Paulo Banchero.

“I think Franz is doing some international stuff this summer and P is out in Seattle doing his thing.

“We’ve texted multiple times, but we’ll have plenty of time to connect for sure,” Bane said.

The marksman thinks he satisfies Orlando’s most pressing demand.

For a long time, the Magic have had trouble relying on outside shooters; last year, Bane was just 39.2% from outside the arc.
