Everton
As news comes in from Finch Farm, Everton hires a new person for the back office.
According to a story in the Liverpool Echo on October 11, the club has changed their recruitment team and is also looking for new managers.
That was Quayle’s job at Everton as their lead scout for players aged 13 to 18. He has been promoted because of this.
After the sale, Everton will go through more changes.
This change is the first step in what could be a major overhaul of the club’s system for finding and developing young players.
It shows that Everton is serious about improving their youth school, which is very important given the lack of money and the growing importance of homegrown football talent.
People think that the Friedkin Group’s upcoming takeover, which will likely bring a lot of money and strategic direction, could be just the start of a bigger reorganization.
If the Friedkin Group, which owns AS Roma and is known for how they run their football teams, wants to align the Toffees’ academy with the best practices from across their portfolio, they might make bigger changes to how they hire players, how they coach, and how they run the academy as a whole.
The deal for Dan Friedkin to buy Everton from Farhad Moshiri seems likely.
Because they worked at Roma, they might wait a while before making big changes. They would also want to get as close as possible to having the perfect coaching staff before the Toffees move into their new home next season.
