As a picture from Everton’s loss to Southampton surfaces, FIFA is being urged to take action.

According to American pundit Dave Johnson, FIFA should be blamed for the fact that Beto’s goal for Everton was called off in their 1-0 loss to Southampton.

On November 2, the 26-year-old thought he had saved the Blues for the second game in a row, but VAR judges Matt Donohue and Neil Davies overturned the on-field decision after a long review at St. Mary’s.

But Johnson, who commentates on NBA games in the US, went on his X account after the game was over to share video of the lines that were made for the offside check. He said that Everton fans should be angry about how long the process took.

He said in writing, “Where is the outrage?” There is no place for microscopic, forensic choices in @FIFAcom @TheIFAB. I don’t back @Everton, but they should be very angry. The lines took a very long time to draw. Need Wenger’s offer right now, or VAR will keep killing moments.

They are back to square one with Sean Dyche and Everton.

Fans of football can complain all day about how VAR has hurt the game, but even though it took too long on Saturday, the call that Beto was offside was the right one, even though Everton made challenges.

The team that Sean Dyche’s team lost to had not lost in five Premier League games. They came into the game having not won in nine games.

Also, the Blues were lucky that the game ended with 11 players still on the field because James Tarkowski’s “poor” challenge on Cameron Archer only got him a yellow card and didn’t end the game.

When Everton went to the South Coast, they should have been full of confidence and ready to put on a great show to move up in the Premier League table. But the club is back where they started, just two points above the bottom three.

It looks like all of Dyche’s hard work to fix things with the fans has been for nothing. The 53-year-old will have to start over, with next week’s game against West Ham being even more important.

What a bad ending for the Toffees! They thought they had turned a corner after a terrible start to the season. They only have a small chance of winning next weekend when they go to a club that is in even more trouble.
