Arsenal is believed to have more to offer to Sesko this summer by English clubs.

David Ornstein of The Athletic has disclosed that Arsenal is perceived as having the advantage in the competition to acquire RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko this summer by English clubs.

Ornstein believes that the Gunners are the frontrunners in the pursuit of the Slovenian international, as they can provide continuity under manager Mikel Arteta and Champions League football.

This summer, Chelsea and Manchester United, Sesko’s other two primary prospects, are in distinct circumstances.

The Blues have recently appointed Enzo Maresca as their new manager and are preparing to compete in the Europa Conference League. Meanwhile, United will be returning to the Europa League and are still dubious about the future of their manager, Erik ten Hag.

Ornstein also implies that there is a genuine prospect that Sesko will choose to remain in Leipzig. Fabrizio Romano has recently been offered a new contract by the German club, and they are considering him the team’s primary player.

The 21-year-old is preparing for a busy summer, as he is set to lead Slovenia in his first significant international tournament, the Euros, and must make a career-changing decision.

Ornstein, in his article for The Athletic, posits that Arsenal has more to offer Sesko this summer than English institutions.

“The English teams are of the opinion that Arsenal has the advantage due to their ability to provide Champions League football and stability under the leadership of Mikel Arteta, which are not available at Chelsea and United.”

“However, the likelihood that Sesko will choose to remain at Leipzig is more concerning to Arsenal’s prospects than his decision to transfer to another team in the Premier League.”

Sesko, who was characterized as “gifted and mature,” had an exceptional debut season in the Bundesliga this year, tallying 14 goals in 31 appearances for RB Leipzig.

The German team’s return to the top four was facilitated by the 21-year-old’s seven goals in seven consecutive matches, which marked the conclusion of his league campaign.
