Arsenal 26-year-old defender Gabriel Magalhaes injury seriousness has been revealed and it’s terrible

As a safety measure, Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes was taken out of the Brazil squad, and the club is still keeping an eye on a problem with his Achilles tendon. News came out on Monday that the 26-year-old was the latest player in Dorival Junior’s group to quit the team before the international break.

“I had already communicated previously that we work with a slightly more extensive list,” said the Brazil manager. “We could call it a pre-call, and tonight we lost another person.” Gabriel Magalhaes is not called, which is a shame. We are calling Bremer from Juventus Turin in Italy to take his place.

It was planned for the center-back to play England next week at Wembley, but he will now be at the Sobha Realty Training Complex getting back in shape instead. In the last 18 league games for Arsenal, Gabriel has played all but one full 90 minutes. He also played all 120 minutes against Porto in Europe just seven days ago.

Because his Achilles is sore, he won’t be able to play for his country for at least two weeks. Mikel Arteta will now be hoping that the break from playing will help him get over the problem he’s been having for a while. However, it hasn’t shown up on the field yet, as he’s been playing as well as ever.

When the English season starts up again at the end of March, the Gunners play Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Along with that, they will be hoping to get Gabriel Martinelli back after he was also kicked off the national team.

Martinelli hurt his foot when his team beat Sheffield United 6-0 two weeks ago. He was seen with a protective boot on and crutches at the 2-1 win over Brentford five days later. Gabriel is the most recent player to get hurt, though, and he will not be able to play for Brazil this year after becoming an important part of the team last year.
