Everton
Another illness hit Everton, and the players’ absences were addressed.
This week was the second time this season that someone in the Everton locker room got sick. Jensen Lindstrom couldn’t go to Ipswich Town because he got hit on Thursday.
Even though Beto was a question, Sean Dyche said after the win at Portman Road that he was able to make the team.
Injury problems made it harder for Dyche to prepare for the game. James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam couldn’t play because they got hurt during the international break, and Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja have been out for a long time.
As a safety measure, Jarrad Branthwaite didn’t play because he is still working to get stronger after hurting his leg.
Early in the season, a lot of people at Everton got sick, which is why Vitalii Mykolenko, James Garner, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed the Carabao Cup loss to Southampton on penalties.
Dyche revealed that Lindstrom missed the game because he was sick after the win over Ipswich. He said, “We’ve had a bit of that in the camp, and it was too much for him to get down here as he came down with it on Thursday.” There was some sickness for Beto too, but he made it.
