Paul Quinn, called “The Esk,” says that John Textor would never be able to buy Everton from Farhad Moshiri and become the club’s owner.

Eagle Football, Textor’s company, revealed a big plan to get back on its feet on Tuesday (October 29). As part of this plan, they will sell their share of Crystal Palace.

As a response to the news, Quinn said that the American company would never be able to buy the Toffees, which made him seem to doubt his objectives.

The insider wrote on X, “Thank goodness Textor is no longer part of our future ownership—not that he ever was, but for informational purposes only.”

Someone who works at Everton accuses John Textor

Since May, Textor has been interested in Everton, but Quinn has always said that the co-owner of Crystal Palace is not a good candidate to replace Moshiri (X).

The Esk, a trusted friend, has said over and over that the 59-year-old’s ties to the Selhurst Park team make him an unrealistic choice for the Toffees.

Prior to buying Everton, Textor would have had to sell his Palace shares. Moreover, he would have had to pay a lot of money up front to fix things at Goodison, which doesn’t seem likely given Eagle Football Company’s own problems in South London.

The Friedkin Group, led by Dan Friedkin, has jumped him to buy the club in Merseyside, even though they had a deal with Moshiri (The Athletic, September 23).

As long as the deal is approved by the right authorities, Moshiri will no longer be able to try to sell the club.

On the other hand, Textor seems to have moved on to something else (Alan Nixon).
