After three years since being fired from Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer “rejects” a job offer.

It is said that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turned down an offer to coach the Denmark national team, almost three years after being fired from Manchester United.

Since United fired him in November 2021, just a few days after an embarrassing 4-1 loss to Watford, the 51-year-old has not been in charge of a team.

Reports from the Danish newspaper Tipsbladet say that Solskjaer has been in talks with a “major club” and may be going back to management soon after turning down the chance to replace Kasper Hjulmand as manager of Denmark.

After Jose Mourinho left United in December 2018, Solskjaer was first hired as manager on a temporary basis. But after making a good impression on Old Trafford officials at the end of the 2018–19 season, the former scorer was made manager for good in March 2019.

United came third in the Premier League and made it to the Champions League in his first full season as manager. However, they lost to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Meanwhile, United came second, 12 points behind Manchester City, in his second season as manager, but they lost the Europa League final to Villarreal on penalties.

But United had a terrible start to the 2021–2022, even though they had signed big names like Raphael Varane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Jadon Sancho. Fans lost patience with Solskjaer, and he was fired in November 2021 and replaced by Ralf Rangnick until the end of the season.

But in June, two and a half years after being fired from United, the former boss of Cardiff City and Molde was hired by UEFA as a technical advisor.
