Football Insider has been informed by sources that Man City may be able to rejoin the European Super League initiative as early as next season if their legal dispute with the Premier League is unsuccessful.

The Premier League has been the subject of legal action by the English champions in relation to the associated party transaction (ATP) regulations.

ATP regulations are being sought to be abolished by City, as per The Times, after they were deemed “illegal.”

The case is expected to be resolved following a two-week private arbitration proceeding that commences on Monday, June 10.

City’s relationship with the Premier League has already been strained by their 115 allegations, which are scheduled to be heard over a six-week period in November.

Man City has the potential to rejoin the breakaway Super League in 2024-25.

The Daily Mail has reported that City’s relationship with the Premier League will reach a “all-time low” if their litigation is unsuccessful, and they may be compelled to re-join the Super League proposal.

Football Insider has been informed by sources that City may rejoin the breakaway initiative as early as the 2024-25 campaign.

City anticipates that their legal dispute will be resolved prior to the commencement of the forthcoming Premier League season.

Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona and a prominent figure in the Super League initiative, has asserted that the breakaway competition could commence during the 2024-25 season.
