Reason why Arsenal player Bukayo Saka pulled out for the senior England squad
Arsenal’s star player, Bukayo Saka, will go back to training at London Colney after being forced to pull out of the most recent England team because of an injury.
Fans of Arsenal will be thinking the same way as boss Mikel Arteta: they will be crossing their fingers that all of their stars come back from international duty healthy.
The Gunners’ first game back after the international break is against the defending winners, Manchester City, at their home ground. Because so much is at stake, Arsenal will need to be at their best to give the team that beat them last season the best game possible.
The likes of Declan Rice and Aaron Ramsdale are all in England right now. Martin Odegaard, the captain of Norway, is also away with his country, as is David Raya, the first-choice goalie for Spain.
Arteta wants to end Arsenal’s long wait for its first league title since 2004. At this point in the season, any small problems or changes could cost the team a lot. That being said, here are some of the most important things that came out of the Emirates on March 22.
Saka pulls out of the England team
As a safety measure, Bukayo Saka has left the England camp, which has caused worries about his health ahead of Arsenal’s busy end to the season.
The No. 7 player for Arsenal will not play in either of the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium. In a short statement, the FA revealed the news: “Bukayo Saka has left the England camp and returned to his club to continue his rehabilitation.”
“The Arsenal forward came to St. George’s Park hurt and hasn’t been able to train.” There are no plans to add any more replacements as the 25-person England team continues to train for their upcoming internationals against Brazil and Belgium.
It’s still not clear if the Gunners school graduate is really hurt or if Arsenal is just trying to protect their star player before the final push for the title.
Wright got what he wanted.
Ian Wright has admitted that he thinks Declan Rice and Saka should not play for England in their friendly match against Brazil at Wembley on Saturday night.
Before the news of Saka’s withdrawal came out, Gary Neville said on the Stick to Football show, “I’ll make a prediction: either Declan, Saka, or [Phil] Foden will pull out of the second game [against Belgium on Tuesday]. I have a good feeling about it.”
Wright quickly spoke up and said, “Yeah, I think they should.” Neville’s statement came true earlier than expected, as Saka didn’t play in the first game against Brazil and had to be taken out.
