Takehiro Tomiyasu gets a new long-term deal that lasts until 2026.

During the winter transfer window of 2018, Tomi moved to Europe and joined the Belgian team Sint-Truiden. He was named the club’s player of the season for the 2018–19 season because of how hard he worked. Tomi joined Bologna in July 2019 and quickly became an important part of their defense. He played in 63 Serie A games over the course of two seasons.

Tomi is a regular member of the Japanese national team. He has played in 41 games for his country, including the summer 2021 home Olympics.

A lot of people at the club call our 25-year-old defender “Tomi.” He started his career with Avispa Fukuoka in his hometown, where he played as a youth player and then made 45 starts for the first team.

Tomi has played 20 times for us this season in all categories. I think it was in October, when we beat Sheffield United 5-0 at home in the Premier League. That was his first goal for Manchester United.

“We’re thrilled to have Tomi with us for many more years,” said Edu, who is in charge of sports. He gives our team a lot of power and versatility, and he’s great in every way, not just on the field. Tomi is a great worker, and it’s great that he will still be important to our success in the years to come.

Manager Mikel Arteta said, “We are so happy that Tomi has decided to stay with us.” Along with his natural skill and strength, Tomi has a great attitude, way of thinking, and set of beliefs. Since she joined our team, Tomi has become an important part of it and everyone likes her.

“I can’t believe how hard he works to be the best version of himself all the time. We can’t wait to work with Tomi in the coming years.

For Tomi’s new contract to go through, regulatory steps must be finished first.
