The Premier League game between Manchester United and Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium next month has been moved to a different date.

United unexpectedly made it to the FA Cup semi-finals by beating Liverpool 4–3 at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. On April 14, they were set to play the Cherries. The game was chosen to be shown live on Sky Sports last month, and it was set to start at 4:30pm.

Even so, the Premier League said at the time that it might still happen on April 13 because Aston Villa might move on in the UEFA Europa Conference League. They beat Ajax last week to make it to the quarterfinals of the tournament. They will now play Lille in the last eight, with the first leg scheduled for April 11.

So, Villa’s trip to the Emirates Stadium to play Arsenal on April 13 (set to start at 5:30pm) cannot happen at that time. Clubs almost never play twice in 48 hours, unless it’s an emergency, like when it’s really busy around Christmas and New Year.

So, the games between Arsenal and Villa and Bournemouth and United have been moved. This means that the Reds will have to make the long trip south on April 13 for a 5:30pm start. Now, Villa will play Arsenal the next day at 4:30 p.m. Sky Sports will still show both games live.

The Premier League has announced that United’s game against Newcastle United at Old Trafford the following weekend will not happen because the Reds advanced in the FA Cup. Erik ten Hag’s team was ready to play the Magpies at M16 on April 20 at 3 p.m.

After that, United will play Coventry City in the FA Cup at Wembley that weekend. It has not yet been decided whether the game will be on April 20 or April 21. Bolton beat Wolves 3-2 on Saturday to make it to the last four of the league for the first time since 1987.

United needs to change the dates of two Premier League home games. Because of the cup game with Liverpool, they didn’t play Sheffield United on Saturday as planned.
