Daniel Thomas will remain on injured reserve for at least another week as he recovers from a broken forearm. Although he returned to practice and was listed as questionable for the upcoming game against the Minnesota Vikings, the Detroit Lions have officially ruled him out.
The team has a two-week window to activate Thomas to the 53-man roster or he will stay on IR for the remainder of the season.
Following their bye week, the Lions have a relatively healthy roster. Their only other move was to promote linebacker Ty Summers from the practice squad for the game, where he is expected to contribute on special teams.
For Sunday’s game, the Lions have ruled out safety Kerby Joseph (knee), running back Craig Reynolds (hamstring), and linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez (knee) due to injury. Meanwhile, offensive tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder) is expected to play despite being listed as questionable.
