The NBA’s Kyrie Irving is addressing best-of-all-time arguments during the offseason.
Kyrie Irving was given a new contract deal by the Dallas Mavericks despite sustaining a potentially career-altering injury during the 2024-25 NBA season.
As a result, Irving’s free agency came to a swift close, but the Mavericks superstar is far from done. Many different things have been done with it by Kai.
From discussing trending topics to interviewing elite free agents like Myles Turner, Irving has done it all. He was also named the 69th best NBA player of all time by Bleacher Report.
Kyrie Irving crucifies NBA top 100 players debate, says ‘basketball is bigger’
The NBA has seen its fair share of talent throughout its 79 years of history. Evidently, it has become a common practice for the media and fans alike to compare the best players of all time.
Jeff Teague’s comments regarding Steph Curry and Magic Johnson’s all-time rankings are just one example of how this leads to other arguments.
But Irving has had enough of these lists and arguments; in fact, he attacked them on a recent live broadcast. “Who’s the GOAT?” you all seem to be debating.
I could care less. This whole GOAT thing doesn’t interest me. In his statement, Irving said, “I couldn’t care less because basketball is bigger than the GOAT” (h/t Oh No He Didn’t).
