Ja Morant, a star for the Memphis Grizzlies, had another rough season due to injuries. Now that he’s on the mend, he can kick back and enjoy some sports. The 25-year-old missed 50 games in 2024-25 with a number of injuries, including a strained pelvic muscle, a sprained right shoulder, and a dislocation in his right hip. His absence from the playoffs due to a hip contusion was a contributing factor in Memphis’s first-round sweep by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
On Friday, Morant expressed his gratitude to another famous athlete who has been dealing with health issues.
Ronald Acuña Jr., a star for the Atlanta Braves, tore his ACL in May and was out for the remainder of the season. However, he is now fully healthy and ready to play again.
Morant took to social media to share his admiration for the five-time All-Star’s impressive throw against the New York Yankees.
“Wtf,” Morant said.
Acuña caught a deep fly ball in right field during the top of the third inning and fired it to third base through the air, throwing out Yankees infielder Jorbit Vivas.

The 7-3 victory was achieved by Acuña, who also walked, had an RBI, and scored two runs.
The 27-year-old has recently begun cutting. 12 home runs and 23 RBI in 46 games while batting 329/.442/.610.
Braves starter Spencer Strider won his fourth game of the season with a six-hitter and a 3.59 earned run average.
Nonetheless, the Hawks still trail the National League East leaders by 11.5 games and are 9.5 games out of a Wild Card slot.
